In this section, you will learn a little more about the three founders of survivingmoms.com: KT, Kristine, and Nicole. For more information about why we created this site in the first place, please check out our purpose page. Thank you for your interest in getting to know us; let’s get started!
Hi my name is KT. I am a wife, mom and RN. I have 2 young boys that keep me on my toes, especially my older one- he is one of a kind! I am a Christian, saved by Gods amazing grace through his Son Jesus Christ. I will be the first to admit that I don’t have it “all together” and that I often fail in my daily life. However, I am always learning more about God’s grace, mercy and love towards me. No matter what crazy awful or wonderful things come my way I know ultimately Gods in control and I have to let go. Which is not something I am good at.
I enjoy working out and being active whether it’s in the gym or out in nature. I like to go new places (I have been to 48 of the 50 states), try new things and am absolutely a beach loving girl!
I love to bake, cupcakes are my specialty and I definitely have a sweet tooth. I spend a lot of time researching, reading, meal planning and cooking for my family in order to help them feel good (we have food intolerance’s and other tummy/skin issues).
I also truly love getting to know all about other people, hearing their stories and making real connections with others. I can’t wait to get to know more about you and how you are surviving motherhood!
Hi, I’m Kristine! I’ve been married to my best friend for a decade now! We have 5 awesome little ones ranging from 6 years to 6 months. Most days are awesome, crazy, and exhausting all at the same time.
I spend my days homeschooling and reading lots of stories. I am also really good at breaking up fights and serving snacks! For the past 8 years I have worked as a nurse part time. The last three years were spent in the ER. I love to be outside hiking and exploring, and my dream is to pack everyone up in our RV and travel country.
Believe me, I know that being a mom is hard! Most days I feel like I just barely survived by the time I climb into bed at night. Typically, there are clothes at the foot of my bed that never were put away, a few dirty pots and pans left on the counter from dinner, and shoes are scattered all over by the back door. At times this discourages me! My house never looks like a Pinterest home and I never feel like supermom.
It is so easy to have my identity tied up in my husband and children and to forget that best of all I am a child of God! I am so thankful to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his willingness to take the punishment that I deserved.
My hope and prayer is that through survivingmoms.com you will be able to laugh, relax, connect with other moms and ultimately our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Hello fellow moms, mamas, and mommies! My name is Nicole. I was blessed to grow up in a household that loved Christ and had a desire to serve Him. It was through my family’s testimony that I was able to develop my own personal relationship with Christ, for which I am very thankful. When I was about fourteen years old, I met my husband in my church’s youth group and we got married in that same church shortly after I turned twenty. That was over five years ago now!
Today, I am a stay-at-home mother to my two-year-old daughter, Addelyn. She is loving, smart, and a bit on the sassy side. We love to spend our days by the pool or at the park. We also enjoy doing crafts and baking together. I have a background in education, so we are often doing activities to enhance her academic skills as well. I feel so honored to call her my daughter and can’t believe how fast these two years with her have flown by.
When I have time to myself, I like to take long walks outdoors; I find walking in nature to be very calming. I also enjoy having coffee with friends and connecting with people on a deeper level. I have struggled with anxiety and depression in the past and know what it’s like to feel isolated. I could not have gotten through my most difficult moments if it wasn’t for my Savior, Jesus Christ. Through this blog, I hope to share my story and provide encouragement to other moms who may have similar struggles. Together, we will survive.
