We are trying to be very careful this year what we buy for Christmas. We do not want to accumulate more useless stuff. We want our focus to be on Christ and why he came to earth as a baby.
There are a few stocking stuffers under $20 that we do every year for the kids and they always look forward to it. Some of these are useful and the rest are fun treats we don’t do often. They have already asked me if some of these will be in their stockings this year!
Eos lip balm: You frequently need lip balm in the winter months. My kids are always excited to have their own instead of asking for mine. This kind, I have found, does a better job of keep lips moist but not making your lips dependent on it like some of the other brands I have used.
Gloves: New gloves in our stockings are a must. We are constantly losing gloves.
Bath colors: These colors are a favorite for my kids and make bathtime so much fun.
Bath crayons: Can you tell we love bathtime? These crayons are so much fun! Just be sure to wipe the crayon off the tub when bathtime is over. It doesn’t come off as well when it has sat awhile.
Art supplies: I buy extra markers, crayons, and colored pencils during the back to school sale for stockings. I also, got them each a new Doug and Melissa art notebook. We have been going through tons of paper for all their drawings lately.
- A bottle of cream soda
- Can of pringles
- Reeses peanut butter cup trees
- Bath Bubbles
That’s it! Our stockings are simple but are always a huge hit! What do your kids look forward to with their stockings? Do you have staple items that you always do for stocking stuffers or do you change it up each year?
Make it a great day!
